Mario (MOLEQLAR): Hi Reiner, it's a great pleasure to talk to you today about yourself and your background in biohacking or longevity. Can you briefly explain how, as a manager in Silicon Valley, you come to support people on their way to better health?
Reiner Kraft:Hi Mario, it started out of self-interest. Due to a lot of stress and an unbalanced lifestyle, my body was showing me that it couldn't go on like this. It was clear that I had to do something. But what? I started with an MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) program that was offered on Yahoo. It was a compact 6-week course where you met weekly in a group and learned how to calm your mind with breathing exercises and some meditation. I quickly realized that this had a positive effect on my mind.
As a scientist, however, that wasn't good enough for me. I wanted to know what exactly happened. How can I measure that? There was no answer to that at the time. In the meantime, my body was no longer fit due to various symptoms such as high blood pressure, arrhythmias and obesity (today I would call this the beginning of metabolic syndrome). After seeing several doctors and cardiologists, I was prescribed some medication. Here I found out:
"You may know your way around complex software systems, but your own body is a black box." If you want to grow old healthily, you need to know what's going on in your body and how it works. Because nobody else does that but you ! "
I made a conscious decision back then to take personal responsibility for my health. That was the turning point!"
When I moved to Berlin with my family in 2016, I met integrative doctors for the first time. They looked at genes, took complex measurements and tried to find the root causes. That was my world! Since then, I have continued to educate myself by reading medical studies in the fields of cell metabolism, mitochondria , neuroscience andepigenetics , with the motivation to get my own body and mind back into top shape
In 2022, I moved to my original home in central Hesse and opened my own epigenetics practice with a biohacking lab. This year (2024) I decided that my knowledge of functional epigenetics& amp; Longevity is very valuable and I want to share it with others in the form of further training for doctors, therapists and coaches.
Mario (MOLEQLAR): What was your time in the US like and how was it different from your time in Germany? Also in terms of the opportunities to do something for yourself and your health?
Reiner Kraft: California is generally 7-10 years ahead of Germany in just these aspects of health for mind and body
Innovation is my strength. Back then, I was an inventor in Silicon Valley with over 120 patents. That was already a record! If I were in California now with my range of longevity programs, it would most likely be a lot easier to market them. I also still have some clients from the USA. They are usually more open-minded. There is simply more openness to new approaches there. That's what Silicon Valley is all about! Everything is delayed here, but at some point it will catch on here in Germany too.
Mario (MOLEQLAR): Do you miss anything from your time in Silicon Valley?
Reiner Kraft: Yes, of course, from time to time. Everything has advantages and disadvantages. Here in the countryside in central Hesse, I've created a high quality of life for myself. My epigenetic age is now almost 10 years younger and my 100+ biomarkers, which I track regularly, are developing very well. My gray hair is also gone (it was almost white back then) and I feel fit and healthy.
However, my approach is very different from biohackers like Bryan Johnson . I try to achieve similar results with a minimal budget, but also with a flexible (but scientific) approach. For me, such a system would be too rigid and therefore only works for very few.
But yes, I think the lack of California sun is the biggest disadvantage here. It gets gray from October on. Sure, I can somehow compensate with solarium, infrared and BioCharger (a technology from the USA), but that's rather suboptimal. Networking in the tech industry with all the cool entrepreneurs close to each other was also an exciting time. I like to support start-ups or companies in the role of a tech& amp; scientific advisor. That way, I keep in touch and stay on the ball with the latest technologies. When I set up their deep learning/AI lab at Zalando, it almost felt like I was in Silicon Valley. Berlin also has a very diverse start-up scene. I'm always happy to visit Berlin, and my two boys live and study there.
Mario (MOLEQLAR): What fascinates you most about biohacking?
Reiner Kraft: It's an agile approach. I have been using it for over 20 years. The motto in Tech "Do. Measure. Learn." - It works the same way with mind and body. The ability to measure something, then do something to change it and then see if it makes a difference. That's how the tech industry works successfully and that's why I know that this approach is perfect for my own application.
Biohacking is also an art of shaping your own body and mind. Completely at will. There is no right or wrong, you need creativity. As I said, that's my strength.
Mario (MOLEQLAR): You have your own epigenetics practice and are an epigenetics coach and human potential coach, among other things. What do you offer in your practice and what is your philosophy behind it? And for which people is your offer suitable?
Reiner Kraft: I have set up my own biohacking lab here with everything you need to optimize your body and mind. For example, IHHT altitude training, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber (HBOT), ozone, infrared, BioCharger, nanoVI, Airnergy, as well as neurofeedback and much more. I have thus created a very effective portfolio of methods for truly integrative therapy.
I also use modern instant diagnostics, such as laser spectrophotometry. Here you can very quickly measure the condition of the body in terms of minerals, but also heavy metal contamination. The combination of complex (micro) nutrients, if you know how to use them therapeutically and the knowledge of genetics, as well as the current state in the body through functional laboratory values brings successful results.
For example, I offer a coaching program for entrepreneurs, freelancers and managers. I know this target group very well, having been in the same boat myself for decades. I have clients in Europe and the USA .
I now also offer a "Stay Younger" longevity program. This is often used by menopausal women, but also by others with health challenges. We systematically go through all the phases: Epigenetic anamnesis, DNA analysis, immediate diagnostics and, based on this, an optimized nutrient protocol with tips for lifestyle optimizations based on genetics. Many people are amazed at what can be achieved in a relatively short period of time .
In terms of further education, I offer training to become a Longevity Coach. Here I share my knowledge and give the participants a system in 3 months, which can create an optimized longevity protocol for themselves and others through modern immediate diagnostics and (micro) nutrients. I focus on a solid basic therapy for the body. The foundations must be laid before tackling advanced issues. Unfortunately, too many people make this mistake.
My highlight is probably the advanced training in functional epigenetics. Especially for doctors, therapists and coaches. This brings all these areas together and provides a system based on the most important health skills that I have developed over the years and which helps well with implementation. A competency can be thought of as a distinct area with its own metrics, but also interventions . In 4-5 months, participants learn how to create a sustainable therapy using applied epigenetics and functional laboratory values. This is then implemented via a complex (individualized) nutrient therapy in combination with biohacking technologies. This is an innovative and unique approach.

Mario (MOLEQLAR): What prompted you to focus on epigenetics and what tools or supplements are you working with
Reiner Kraft : If you think about it: If I don't know the genes, the DNA, the blueprint of a body, how can I create a sustainable therapy? That doesn't work! It's very important that people understand this. Not much works without the blueprint! It would be the same if I wanted to repair a car but didn't know how the engine was built. But if I know, for example, that there are gene variants or even defects in myvitamin D metabolism, then I can take a different therapeutic approach. Epigenetics is the key to this, as I can now specifically rewrite the software of the genes . To do this, however, the so-called DNA methylation must work well.I work with everything that makes sense. I primarily use complex nutrients in therapeutic doses. I repair one system at a time. Then I optimize it if necessary. So it's not about healing as a goal, but about repairing individual systems. When these come back online, the body is better able to regulate itself again. Healing happens as a "side effect", so to speak.
Mario (MOLEQLAR): How did you come across MOLEQLAR and what made the difference for you?
Reiner Kraft: It was a coincidence at the time. I was looking for a chemical that came to my attention through the American longevity scientist David Sinclair . That's when I came across MOLEQLAR and was probably one of the first people to order at the time, and since then I've been a partner of MOLEQLAR myself and am delighted to see the product range continue to develop.
I particularly appreciate the good quality of these nutrients , but also the composition of the range and think that MOLEQLAR is very well positioned in the area of longevity in particular.
Mario (MOLEQLAR): One more personal question. What does the term longevity mean to you and what measures do you implement in your own life?
Reiner Kraft: For me, longevity means growing old healthily . That is my goal and I implement it in my life every day. My lifestyle is actually an optimized longevity lifestyle, where I live my own functional epigenetics approach every day.
This means I know my most important genes and their variations, have a plan to support them, track more than 100 biomarkers, use wearable tech (like the Oura Ring) and have an optimized nutrient protocol with more than 50 complex products per day.
I pay attention to my diet, exercise regularly, use IHHT altitude training and regularly lie in my hyperbaric oxygen chamber. But I also support my mind with meditation, neurofeedback and even there I have developed a system with key figures where you can see what is moving.
Important: Not much works on a physical level without a healthy mind . Many people overlook this. Supplements are taken, but the underlying mental carousel is not addressed. It's like pouring water on a fire to put it out, but the wind is stronger and spreads the fire faster than you can put it out.
I carry out regular progress checks on all these topics and continue to adapt my protocol. I also continue to optimize my longevity protocol by acquiring new knowledge.
The results are impressive: The biomarkers, my epigenetic age and how I feel are in line with what I want to achieve.
I have created a very flexible lifestyle. There are no real restrictions. If I have a good glass of wine, my body can detoxify it quickly. My sleep values are usually always above 90 (out of 100).
My focus is on balance. My body and immune system have become very resilient over the years (Oura says "Excellent").
All in all, it took me 10-15 years to get there. But that was the path for me. Now I'm happy if I can help others to walk this path in less time. I also call this transformation "The New U" - that's what I called my blog (and Instagram @ thenewu.de), where I regularly share new posts on these topics.
Mario (MOLEQLAR): What would be a few tips from your own personal biohacking bag of tricks that you would share with our readers?
Reiner Kraft : The reality is that you can achieve a lot of positive results with simple means. I recommend people not to start with advanced topics right away, but to create a healthy basis first. This starts with a protocol of healthy oils, fats ,phospholipids, nucleotides and amino acids. This may not be particularly sexy, but it is what we need at cellular level and what we generally have far too little of. It is therefore worth laying these foundations first.
Another tip would be to take a look at my magnesiumprotocol, because this mineral is involved in hundreds of metabolic processes in the body and almost everyone I measure using instant diagnostics has suboptimal magnesium levels or even a severe magnesium deficiency. Improving or even optimizing this value is not easy. Getting magnesium into the cells, where it belongs, is a challenge .
But more importantly, be aware that growing old healthily, longevity, is a daily challenge.
Bryan Johnson says "Don't die!" - I say it a little more positively with "Stay Younger". That's why I motivate everyone: Take advantage of the opportunities that come your way, be open to new things and find out what your own instruction manual is! It takes time and patience, but it's worth it!
